I don't agree with you:
Android IS for everyone. Geek or non-geek, everyone can use an Android smartphone.
The only difference is that the geek will go deep into the OS to adapt it to his needs and fantasies, while the non-geek will use it as is out-of-the-box (that's what people like HTC with Sense or Samsung with TouchWiz do with their adapted UI).
But if you want a great looking, easy to use, smooth as silk and powerful mobile OS, try Windows Phone Mango.
I played with it on a friend's phone and went to buy one on-the-spot (after long hesitations I selected a Nokia Lumia 800 over an HTC Titan - I think I made the right choice).
For me, it is the best of the leading mobile OS trio, iOS, Android and Windows Phone.
Well, geeks might not like it too much because they cannot play around with it as they can do with Android and to some extend with iOS.
But for basic, regular users this Windows Phone Mango is God-sent!

motorola atrix

I already have the Atrix. If Salesforce ever comes out for Android then I
can leave my iPhone at home. I've had every version of the iPhone and
used to really enjoy it. But it doesn't impress me anymore and I now
find it too boring. I'm loving all the things I can do with the Atrix.
That and everytime I use the iPhone something lags up or doesn't work.
(screen never turns off in call anymore and this is my 2nd iPhone 4 to
have this issue.)

I know Android isn't for everyone, but for me I want a phone I don't have to jailbreak to enjoy.
